APPTION SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES SELECTION BY NETISTIX TECHNOLOGIES TO PROVIDE FLEET SIMULATOR Apption's ability to deliver a complex networked simulation application to simulate GPRS telematics devices assists Netistix in scaling their fleet management platform. OTTAWA - Apption Software Corporation, an innovative provider of converged applications and new product introduction services, announced today that it has been selected by Netistix Technologies Corporation to develop a distributed simulation system for stress testing Netistix's fleet management platform. The custom application leverages Apption's convergence expertise and will include designing a web-based interface to control a number of distributed simulation engines each simulating up to 1000 WiFi terminals. The application will also monitor various performance indicators as the fleet management platform is processing the data to determine if it is providing acceptable service levels under load. Leveraging Apption's expertise in networked applications enables Netistix to ensure platform scalability as they ramp to meet customer demand. "The technical expertise that the Apption team exhibited gave us the confidence that they were the right choice," said Wade Neville, Director of Software Development. "Apption was able to demonstrate strong expertise in designing distributed software systems." The simulation platform will generate over a 1TB of data in a 24 hour period using 10 distributed simulation engines and control the injection of data in real-time into the Netistix FleetPulse platform.
